About Oregon Early Learning Hub Association (OELHA)
Our Story
Welcome to the Oregon Early Learning Hub Association! We are a nonprofit organization of 16 local Early Learning Hubs working together to ensure that all Oregon children have access to high-quality early learning experiences. We are conveners, partners, catalysts, capacity builders, funders, and advocates of a strong early childhood system. Learn more about our mission and goals as an association below. Our Mission
Hubs are designed to focus on children and families furthest from opportunity, including those that our system has historically underserved and those who have been under-represented in systemic decision-making. This includes Black, Indigenous, and other People of Color (BIPOC), families navigating poverty, those in rural parts of our state, and individuals with special needs. We center the voices of local parents and caregivers in our work to ensure we strategically address the unique barriers they face, in culturally responsive ways.
Goals
1. Braid and leverage state federal, and community funds to invest in the local programs and services most appropriate for the
community.
2. Convene community partners and families to assess and strategize solutions to emerging and persistent issues.
3. Ensure there is no wrong door, driven by the mission that all
children deserve access to high quality early learning opportunities, and culturally specific & community-based family support services.
